About The TNSL

The TNSL is a Men's Recreational Soccer League that operates in the Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge areas. The TNSL was inaugurated in 1996 with 4 teams and quickly expanded to 12 teams in only its fourth season with the hard work of the volunteer executive.

The league runs from May to September and each team plays 16 regular season games, with at least one playoff game guaranteed. Each team place each other once before the league is divided into two divisions of 6 teams. Team 1 through 6 go into A-Division and teams 7 through 12 are placed in B-Division. Teams then play each team in their own division once more prior to the playoffs commencing.

The league schedule is input at the beginning of each season and from there everything else is calculated. Each week, team report their game results online. These results are email to the league statistician who verifies the scores and goal scorers and accepts the score. When the score is accepted, the score is entered into the schedule. The standings, game reports, and Last Weeks Games area are updated automatically in real-time.

Other features include easy navigation, multiple link-throughs to many statistical areas and different schedule views. Each team roster can be viewed online after it is entered and maintained online by each team representative through the online password protected administration area. This admin area allows team representatives to enter their players, their contact information, and some personal notes. They can print their rosters, send group emails, send individual emails, change their own logins, and register their players for the online form and pickers pools.

The forum is an added feature that allows league participants to correspond in a public place. This correspondance often raises important issues and creates a spirit of competition in the league.
